Refund Policy

Last updated: October 19, 2026  |  Effective: October 19, 2026

This Refund Policy applies to AgentPay (x402-agent-pay.com), the x402 payment facilitator on Base L2, and its related rails. By using our services you agree to this policy alongside our Terms.

1. On-chain payments are final

x402 payments settle on Base L2 and are final once confirmed on-chain. No one, including us, can reverse a settled transaction. This policy explains what we do when a payment fails to deliver what it paid for.

2. The facilitator

Payment verification is free. Settlement costs are the on-chain gas of the settlement transaction, paid by the payer's wallet. If a settlement command fails before broadcast, nothing is charged. If you were charged for a facilitated payment and the paid service failed to deliver, email [email protected] within 30 days with the transaction hash; verified failures are repaid in USDC on Base, usually within 5 business days.

3. Escrow

Escrowed funds are held by the escrow contract, not by us. Refunds of escrowed payments run through the escrow contract's own release and refund endpoints, triggered by the parties per the escrow terms. We cannot override the contract.

4. Payee disbursements

The payee disbursement rail charges 1% of the disbursed amount, taken only from successfully completed on-chain disbursements. A failed disbursement is retried at no additional fee.

5. Sponsor windows and paid rails

Sponsor and advertising windows (x402ads), white-label deployments and paid API rails follow the signed agreement for the service. Windows paid for but never delivered are refundable per that agreement.

6. Contact

[email protected]
AgentPay, LLC · 95b Havasupai St, Grand Canyon, AZ 86023. Refund requests are verified within 5 business days and paid in USDC on Base to the wallet that made the payment.
